We are learning some new things in class and I am very excited to finally be in the routine of school. Please ask your students if they have any missing work or redo's because midterms are coming up quick. If they have not heard from me of missing work, then they do not have any :)
What we are learning this week:
Math- Reviewing rounding up until the 100,000's and WHY it is so important to know in the real world. As well as exploring lines, angles and now shapes in geometry.
Reading- We have a new genre this week of Expository (My favorite) or other known as informational. They will be diving into texts that teach them things while at the same time learning how to compare/ contrast.
Social Studies- Beginning their FIRST INDEPENDENT PROJECT. It will be done all here at school and will be due at the very end of the day on Friday. They were given a region in Montana and are following a guidelines to create a work of art dealing with at region.
Science- Coding their own game to help students who get concussions.
Language- Knowing when the right time to use commas is when looking at sentences and dates.
Writing- Continuing on with our letter to a leaf NOT to fall this year. They will begin an art project to accompany their writing.
